Ecorun India grew out of the 1030 km run by Professor George Thomas in November/December, 2008. The formal organization behind Ecorun India is the “Ecorun Society” registered in 2010 under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act XII, 1955. Ecorun India began operating in November, 2008.
